VelocityTX is a premier bioscience innovation superhub located on a 12-acre campus on San Antonio’s historic East Side. Its Incubator & Co-Working Program is designed to commercialize and scale early-stage biotech, medical device, and healthcare IT companies. The program acts as a physical and structured operational launchpad, operating on a “Connect-Support-Fund” model to systematically de-risk capital-intensive scientific ventures.

Physical Infrastructure & Amenities

The program is physically housed in the state-of-the-art VelocityTX Innovation Center and the adjacent Co-Labs facility:

• The Innovation Center: A 17,000-square-foot facility featuring 26 private offices (ranging from 70 to 235 square feet) and BSL-1 wet/dry workshops, complete with executive conference rooms, a media production studio, and event spaces.
• VelocityTX Co-Labs: A 4,863-square-foot shared and private laboratory facility. It offers Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) workspaces and unmetered access to shared capital equipment, including autoclaves, glassware washers, -80°C/-20°C freezers, and biological safety cabinets.
• Community Perks: All memberships include 24/7 secure facility access, free onsite parking, high-speed internet, shower rooms with lockers, a fully equipped kitchen/cafe, and monthly community events.

Program Pathways & Matchmaking

Instead of a one-size-fits-all approach, VelocityTX offers a flexible, two-to-five-year structured growth plan:

• Incubator Resident: Best for teams of two or more looking for move-in-ready, private physical offices to build daily on-site momentum.
• Hybrid Incubator: A flexible pathway that provides co-working area access and virtual entry to all startup support programs—perfect for teams looking to minimize office space overhead.

Participation Requirements

Because of its high-resource nature, the program is selective. Eligible startups must meet the following criteria:

• Be incorporated in the U.S. with a U.S. bank account.
• Focus strictly on the life sciences (biotech, medtech, health IT).
• Be based in or willing to relocate to San Antonio, Texas.
• Have a team of two or more members.
• Demonstrate existing traction through at least two milestones (such as IP rights, proof-of-concept/prototypes, secured funding, or completion of a qualifying pre-accelerator).
